Hengyang Flower-drum Opera

Hengyang Flower-drum Opera is a local opera in Hunan Province. It has three main tunes and a few miscellaneous tunes. The opera, with high and enthusiastic tone and a strong local flavor, is performed in the relaxing and lively form of singing and dancing.
Yongxing Flower-drum Opera, Zixing Flower-drum Opera and Anren Flower-drum Opera in Chenzhou City all belong to Hengyang Flower-drum Opera. In 2007, it was included in the representative list of the first batch of municipal-level intangible cultural heritage projects. In 2009, it was added to the second batch of provincial-level intangible cultural heritage items.
